My mom, my aunt and myself took off on an impromptu girls weekend last week. We took a road trip to East Texas to go antiquing and junk store shopping. We drove up to Tyler for a barn sale. And then hit up the little towns around there - Noonday, Bullard, Mineola. I don't think any of us realized how much we needed that little get-away until we got there. We shopped, told stories, ate hamburgers, shopped more, drank wine, stayed at a lovely B&B, even got spa treatments. We stayed up late laughing and giggling like teenagers. And we found some major treasures. We deliberately didnt bring the truck so we wouldnt over purchase, and then preceded to load my mom's suv so full we could barely ride home in it. Which felt like success to us. Here is some pictures of some of my favorite finds from the trip.
